What types of organizations can participate in iHelpMy?

Any non-profit organization with at least 20 members is eligible to participate in the iHelpMy program. This includes almost all schools, churches, clubs, youth organizations, animal shelters, and affiliates of national organizations.

For example, the following organizations are great examples of partners for iHelpMy:

  • Religious groups including churches, synagogues, youth groups, ministries, and ministry trips.
  • Youth organizations such as Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, Boys And Girls Clubs, and 4-H Clubs.
  • School groups and clubs including bands, orchestras, choirs, pep squad / cheerleeding, sports boosters, chess clubs, math clubs, beta clubs, foreign language clubs, and JROTC.
  • Parent Teacher Organizations (PTA's and PTO's)
  • Local chapters of national organizations like the Lions Club, Rotary, Kiwanis, Masons, American Legion, Veterans of Foreign War, and Vietnam Veterans of America.
  • Society help organizations like Special Olympics chapters, homeless shelters, AA, humane societies and animal shelters.
  • Other associations like auto and motorcycle clubs, model airplane clubs, community theatre and performing arts groups.
  • Sports teams involved in baseball, football, softball, volleyball, soccer, swimming, and bowling.
  • Other community, regional and national organizations including United Way and Red Cross.
  • Other non-profits such as historic preservation organizations, museums, and environmental  projects.
